Anne Frank

Anne worked closely with the filmmakers as story editor on the screenplay for Atanarjuat: The Fast Runner, an entirely Inuit-produced feature film that won the “Camera d’Or” prize at the Cannes International Film Festival in 2001 as well as winning numerous Genie Awards in 2002 including Best Picture and Best Screenplay.” This film was Canada’s official selection for Foreign Language Oscar.

Anne is currently Creative Content Analyst for the TV and Feature Film units at Telefilm Canada. Prior to this she was Production Executive for Barna-Alper Productions, where she was involved in the development and production of movies and mini-series. From 1999 to 2003 she was Production Executive for the Global Television Network – a key member of the development team for original Canadian production.

As independent producer, she produced Claude Jutra; An Unfinished Story, a biography documentary that won three Gemini Awards and one Gemeaux in 2003. She co-produced Tied by Blood, a Canada/Iceland co-production for History Television. As producer for CBC for many years, she won numerous awards of such television dramas as A Change of Heart, Harvest, Seer Was Here, and A Far Cry From Home.

She was story consultant on the television mini-series The Arrow, starring Dan Ackroyd, as well as numerous feature films. She was executive story consultant for Atlantis Films on such television movies as Margaret Laurence’s The Diviners, the Emmy Award winning Lost in the Barrens, as well as Tom Alone, and Race to Freedom.
