Husband and wife team writer /director Howard and Producer Mitzi Allen are HAMA

HAMA is the husband and wife team of Howard and Mitzi Allen. Based in Antigua, the couple have been independent Caribbean film and television producers for the past 14 years.

In 1992 HAMA Productions began with the television series Island Magazine, which highlighted Caribbean art, culture and lifestyle. In 2001, HAMA became the first local company in the Eastern Caribbean to produce a feature-length film with the release of The Sweetest Mango, a romantic comedy.  This was followed immediately in 2002 with a political dramatic feature, No Seed. Today, HAMA has its own independent cable channel, HAMA TV, on the CTV Communications Network System in Antigua, Barbuda. Their recent film, The Skin, will have its world premiere at the festival, March 19th.
