Alison Saunders

Alison is the founder of the 15-year old company, SFa Communications Inc that is the publicist for the CaribbeanTales Film Festival in Barbados.

Aliso has over 25 years experience in communications and public relations regionally and internationally. She is also a trained television producer and film maker who has written and directed “Hit For Six!”, the first feature film to have regional theatrical distribution.

Alison worked with the Government Information Service from 1981 to 1985 holding the supervisory post of Senior Information Officer for television. During her 10-year career with Shell (1986-1996) where she served as Head of Public Affairs and Human Resources, she was responsible for the company’s communications activity in the OECS, Barbados, the Netherlands Antilles and the British Virgin Islands.

She has coordinated PR regionally for major educational, environmental, entertainment and sports projects, product launches and other initiatives throughout the Caribbean. In the course of her work, Alison has developed an enviable network of contacts in media, government and various agencies in the Caribbean.
